Trust & Safety
Disputes are only for objective failures: a no-show, photos not delivered, photos that do not match the package, or unusable photos (for example, corrupted files or the wrong event). If you just do not like how the photos look, ask your photographer for a revision instead.
Photos not delivered
The photographer hasn't delivered the photos by the delivery date of the booking.
Photos don't match the package
What was delivered is not what the package includes, for example fewer photos or a different session.
Unusable photos
The files can't be used, for example they are corrupted or they are from the wrong event.
No-show
The photographer didn't show up to the scheduled shoot. If a client does not show, the photographer is paid in full and no refund is issued.
Not a dispute: how the photos look
If you just do not like how the photos look, ask your photographer for a revision instead.
Message the other party to discuss the issue. Many problems can be solved with communication.
If you can't resolve it directly, open a dispute from your booking page before the delivery is approved, which happens automatically when the review period after delivery ends.
Provide screenshots, messages, photos, or any documentation supporting your case.
A person at Pickxel reviews both sides and decides. The payment stays with Pickxel until then.
We'll issue a decision: full refund, partial refund, release payment, or other resolution.
The payment stays with Pickxel during a dispute
Pickxel holds the payment until you approve your photos or the review window ends. While a dispute is open, neither party receives the payment until Pickxel decides.
Open it before the delivery is approved, which happens automatically when the review period after delivery ends. After that, payment is released to the photographer.
Opening legitimate disputes won't hurt your standing. However, frequent frivolous disputes may result in account review.
